About the manufacturer
Elvang creates responsibly produced textiles that combine timeless Nordic design with Peruvian craftsmanship. The company was founded by Tina and Lasse Elvang, who discovered alpaca wool on a backpacking trip to Peru in 2002.
A year later Elvang was established, becoming the first company to introduce alpaca wool throws to Scandinavia. Today its homewares and accessories are sold in numerous countries.
Responsibility guides the business, from better pay for alpaca shepherds and employee benefits for weavers to reducing transport emissions and recycling packaging. The company is a Guaranteed Member of the World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO) and participates in the UN Global Compact.
